Spring Classes 2012
Play of the Hand. Open Review. All are Welcome. Cholla room at MV clubhouse. Monday, Jan30, 9-11 a.m. No Charge. No sign up required.
Doubles. So many great ways to use the “Double!” Come experience them all. Tuesdays 4:30 to 6 p.m. January 10, 24, 31, Feb 7 $59 plus text book $12. Paloma room @DV
Basics. Learn the game in a supportive, friendly atmosphere. $49 plus $12 for textbook. Just four sessions to get started with the most fascinating game in the world. Wednesday mornings, 9-11 March 7 - 28. Mariposa Room at DV.
Modern No Trump Bidding. 4 Tuesdays, 9:30 to 12:15. March 6-27. Mariposa room at DV. Lots of hands to play, short lecture. Transfers, Stayman, slam bidding. $85 includes pamphlet of principles and hands.
Supervised Play. Just practice with randomly dealt hands, help from instructor. We want full tables, so absences must be covered by subs. $49 for four sessions. No textbook. Single sessions as space permits at $15/session. 4 Thursdays, 9 -11, March 8 - 29. The Preserve, Meeting room 1.
Opening the Bidding. Get the bidding started correctly, and see how well it flows. Learn how the bids differ in different seats. Good for those completing Basics, and for those renewing their skills as well as “advanced” players. $59 plus textbook $12. March 5 – 26, 4 Mondays, 9-11. Mariposa room at DV.
Play of the Hand with Bidding Review. 8 sessions packed full of materials to help you bid and play the modern way. Fridays 10 – 12. **New Location: Cactus Room at MV clubhouse.** Feb 3, 10, 17 and 24, March 9, 16, 23 and 30. $110 includes textbook, $95 if you have the current book. Many take this course more than once, as material is so extensive. All levels of player will benefit: guaranteed!
